Northern Metalic Sales is a Canadian Independent Wholesale Industrial Distributor based in Grande Prairie, AB with operations across Alberta & BC.
Northern Metalic Sales is part of a larger, diverse group of companies with interests in wholesale distribution, oilfield service & supply, lubricants distribution, land and real estate development, rail construction & transload, vehicles rentals & leasing, and finance.
Overview:
We are currently seeking an individual to fill the position of Shop Labourer personnel in our Hose & Rigging shop.
Specific Responsibilities Include:
As a Shop Labourer, you will be responsible for:
- Inspecting, pull testing, and certifying new and used various rigging components and assemblies
- Material handling, ensuring order accuracy, on-time shipping & receiving, as well as yard maintenance and fork lift operation.
- Building custom assemblies to customer specification with chain, wire and synthetic ropes to engineered specifications.
- Compliance to health, safety, cleanliness and adhering to company policies and programs within the warehouse are critical. A positive attitude and strong work ethics are must have for this position.
- Physically capable of continually lifting up to 70 lbs.
Qualifications Include:
Individuals with excellent organizational, communication skills and the ability to work in a fast paced environment will be given preference.

- 8 hour shifts
- Monday to Friday
- Weekend as needed
