Northern Metalic Sales is a Canadian Independent Wholesale Industrial Distributor based in Grande Prairie, AB with operations across Alberta & BC.
Northern Metalic Sales is part of a larger, diverse group of companies with interests in wholesale distribution, oilfield service & supply, lubricants distribution, land and real estate development, rail construction & transload, vehicles rentals & leasing, and finance.
Overview:
We are currently seeking an individual to fill the position of Warehouse Associate at our Clairmont, AB location.
Specific Responsibilities include:
As a Warehouse Associate, your primary responsibilities are, but are not limited to:
- Delivering exceptional customer service
- Handling materials
- Ensuring order accuracy and on-time delivery
- Compliance to health, safety, cleanliness and adhering to company policies and programs are critical
- Picking, checking and packing orders accurately
- Inventory management and shelf stocking
- Loading trucks and assisting with customer packouts
- Operating forklifts and other warehouse equipment (training provided)
- Maintaining housekeeping standards and a safe work environment
- Providing friendly customer service and support at the counter
Qualifications:
- Experience in a distribution or warehouse environment is an asset (on-the-job training provided)
- Excellent self-motivation, accuracy, reliability, customer service skills and a positive attitude
- Ability to work independently and as part of a fast-paced team
- Physically able to lift to 80 lbs regularly and properly
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license (no G.D.L.) and a current driver’s abstract required
