Northern Metalic Sales is a Canadian Independent Wholesale Industrial Distributor based in Grande Prairie, AB with operations across Alberta & BC.

Northern Metalic Sales is part of a larger, diverse group of companies with interests in wholesale distribution, oilfield service & supply, lubricants distribution, land and real estate development, rail construction & transload, and finance.

Overview:

We are currently seeking an individual to fill the position of Inside Sales Supervisor at our Prince George, BC location.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership & Supervision
    • Lead, mentor, and support the inside sales team in achieving performance targets.
    • Conduct coaching sessions and evaluations.
    • Provide training on products, systems, and processes.
    • Foster a positive, customer‑focused environment.
  • Customer Service & Sales Support
    • Ensure timely processing of quotes, orders, and inquiries.
    • Handle escalated customer issues.
    • Support with product sourcing and pricing strategies.
    • Maintain strong customer relationships.
  • Operational Oversight
    • Monitor workflow for efficiency.
    • Coordinate with Purchasing and Item Maintenance on product transitions.
    • Ensure adherence to pricing structures and policies.
    • Assist with inventory inquiries and warehouse coordination.
  • Sales & Business Development
    • Support sales campaigns and branch goals
    • Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities
    • Analyze sales data for trends and improvements
  • Administration & Reporting
    • Manage schedules and staffing
    • Maintain accurate reporting of sales activities and KPIs
    • Recommend process improvements

Skills & Qualifications:

  • 3–5 years of inside sales or customer service experience.
  • Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills.
  • Understand pricing, inventory, and order processes.
  • Proficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft Office.
  • Industry knowledge (fasteners, MRO, industrial supply).
  • Distribution environment experience.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities.
