Northern Metalic Sales is a Canadian Independent Wholesale Industrial Distributor based in Grande Prairie, AB with operations across Alberta & BC.
Northern Metalic Sales is part of a larger, diverse group of companies with interests in wholesale distribution, oilfield service & supply, lubricants distribution, land and real estate development, rail construction & transload, vehicles rentals & leasing, and finance.
Overview:
We are currently seeking an individual to fill the position of Shipper/Receiver at our Prince George location.
Specific Responsibilities include:
As a Shipper/Receiver, your primary responsibilities are, but are not limited to:
- Delivering exceptional customer service as you maintain daily warehouse operations
- Handling materials
- Ensuring order accuracy and on-time shipping & receiving
- Assisting in maintaining inventory levels and tracking inventory turns
- Compliance to health, safety, cleanliness and adhering to company policies and programs are critical
Qualifications:
- We are seeking individuals with experience within a distribution environment and a valid forklift operator’s license; however these are not requirements. This position is considered entry level; On the job training is provided. Individuals are required to possess excellent self motivation, reliability, customer service skills and the ability to work in a fast paced environment and/or independently.
- Shipping & receiving: 1 year (preferred)
- Valid Class 5 license is required.
